Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision as a Parent to make and we want to be able to help make this a straightforward process for you.

If your child is due to start school for the first time (known as the Year R Round), you will need to make an application to Hampshire County Council at www.hants.gov.uk/admissions.

During the autumn term, we will publish dates and times of 'Open Days' when we invite prospective parents to visits and see the school 'in action'.  This is a valuable opportunity to see classes at work and speak directly to school leaders before making the decision about the right school for your child

Joining our school outside of the the main round

If your child is already enrolled at another school and you are relocating or needing a different school for another reason, please contact the school office in the first instance.  Our helpful and friendly staff will be able to give you the latest place availability in year groups, details about application procedures and make an appointment for you to visit if there are spaces.

Secondary Transition

As Wellow is in The Mountbatten School catchment area, and Wellow School is a ‘ linked’ feeder school, most of our children transition there, at the end of year 6, for secondary education.  The Mountbatten School website can be accessed here.
