Reading

Please read for 10-15 minutes every day and ensure that reading diaries are signed. Diaries are checked on Mondays and Fridays.

Spellings

Complete the spelling sheet which is in the homework books by practising them on the space provided. The more practice the better. This week we are looking at the suffixes -ed and -est which can added to the end of root words.

Maths

What do I need to do?
Depending on the confidence of the child children need to complete 5, 10 or all 20 questions to practice their understanding of key concepts which will be covered throughout the year.

There are also 3 questions which link to our focus this week which is multiplying  and dividing by 3,4 and 8 using pictorial and formal written methods. This is at the bottom of the sheet and needs to be completed alongside the challenge the child has selected.

Why?
To broaden their skills and understanding with multiplying numbers.

SPAG

There is also a SPAG sheet which tests the children's knowledge of written skills from adjectives and verbs to capital letters and full stops. This week the sheet is based on skills taught in year 2 so should be a re-cap for most children.

These need to be completed and handed in by Wednesday 27th November.
