Mr Evans' Challenge
Ask your child to make a set of number cards 1 to 10. Can they form the correct numeral?
Hold up one of the cards and ask your child to show the corresponding number of fingers or do an action i.e. 3 claps. Repeat a few times. Ask your child to help you order the cards from 1 to 10; make some mistakes. Can they spot your mistake and correct you? If you hide a card, can they work out which one is missing?
Spellings - Red Words
Today's focus is: there
As we would do in school, show and say the word to your child, then ask them to recall it to you. Encourage your child to use this word within their own sentence i.e. Can I sit there?
As an extra challenge, ask your child to record the word in their Remote Learning Book, they could even complete a simple sentence written for them i.e. ___ is a bird.
Join us on Google Meet at 1.30pm, to introduce our Topic and read Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
As a reminder:
1. Please make sure your child is in a shared living space, not their bedroom.
2. They will need to be dressed ready for learning.
3. Please ask them not to film or take pictures of the screen.
4. Please turn microphone off and camera on, the teacher will ask children to turn their microphones on when appropriate.
5. We ask a parent to be present with your child at the start of the call.
Create your own Goldilocks and the Three Bears puppets and retell the story (a cut-out activity available below). Try to use real objects, you could use three of your own teddies, maybe you have some bowls with pretend porridge. Act out the story. How do you think Goldilocks was feeling when she entered the house? What about when she tried the porridge, the chairs and the bed? How do you think the bears felt? What do you think Goldilocks felt at the end of the story?
It would be lovely to see a short film (1 minute at most) of this activity uploaded to Tapestry.
