-Using the picture below, Say the Sound (My Turn, Your Turn), Fred Talk the words (sh_ou_t), then blend. Can they use Fred in the Head to write these words into their Remote Learning Book?

-Continue to recap Set 1 Sounds using the Ruth Miskin (Read Write Inc) Phonics lessons released each day online. Each film will be available for 24 hours via the Ruth Miskin YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo7fbLgY2oA_cFCIg9GdxtQ
-Encourage your child to sit for the Word Time and Spelling lessons for Set 1 Sounds.
(Most children should now be confident with Set 1 Sounds)
- Have a piece of paper or their Remote Learning Book to hand, where they will try to write the words seen in the video. They will tick their work during the video.
Continue to practice reading using the Grapple books. These will be placed on Tapestry each week. Read the story three times to allow for fluency, comprehension and prosody. Record reading in the children's Reading Diaries.

Spellings - Red Words
Today's focus is: have
As we would do in school, show and say the word to your child, then ask them to recall it to you. Encourage your child to use this word within their own sentence i.e. I have a cat.
As an extra challenge, ask your child to record the word in their Remote Learning Book, they could even complete a simple sentence written for them i.e. Can I __ that toy?

This afternoon you are going to record your adventure in your passport! On one page of your Passport, draw either a famous landmark from Australia, the Australian Flag, a Kangaroo or Koala or a digeridoo! Can you label your pictures? Can you write Australia? Did you use your Fred Fingers or Fred in the Head? What do you like about Australia?
