Mr Evans' Outdoor Challenge

Provide a starting line. Ask your child to take 9 giant steps from the line. Mark where they got to. How far could you travel if you took 9 tiny steps? What about 9 jumps? Can your adults or siblings get further? Why? Explore the different ways of travel and how far you can get.

Spellings - Red Words

Today's focus is: little

As we would do in school, show and say the word to your child, then ask them to recall it to you. Encourage your child to use this word within their own sentence i.e. I used to be little.

As an extra challenge, ask your child to record the word in their Remote Learning Book, they could even complete a simple sentence written for them i.e. This chip is ____.

Other

Yesterday, we listened to the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears and then went off to act and re-tell the story. Today, you will create a story map. Here is a lesson from Miss Doherty, she will show you how to map and speak the story. https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/to-map-and-speak-the-story-crr64c?activity=video&step=1&view=1

Your story map may look a little different, you may choose to do a few pictures from certain parts of the story or you may just want to use the activity attached below. We will use these later in the week to help us think about writing a letter from Goldilocks to say sorry to the Bears.
