As we would in school, we shall now begin to recap the Set 2 Sounds, gaining more confidence with spotting, sounding, blending and writing with them. Each week, we will spend time looking at one of our sounds again.
Today, get a piece of paper (or your Remote Learning Book) and a pencil. Can you use 'Fred' to write down words with our sound (ay)? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EFtAAOLG6E

Spellings - Red Words
Today's focus is: one
As we would do in school, show and say the word to your child, then ask them to recall it to you. Encourage your child to use this word within their own sentence i.e. There is one teddy.
As an extra challenge, ask your child to record the word in their Remote Learning Book, they could even complete a simple sentence written for them i.e. Can I have ___ less?
Join us on Google Meet at 1.30pm. Today, we will start to think about writing letter from Goldilocks to the Three Bears, before you have a go yourself.
As a reminder:
1. Please make sure your child is in a shared living space, not their bedroom.
2. They will need to be dressed ready for learning.
3. Please ask them not to film or take pictures of the screen.
4. Please turn microphone off and camera on, the teacher will ask children to turn their microphones on when appropriate.
5. We ask a parent to be present with your child at the start of the call.
Having helped with our class write, it is now your turn to write a letter to the Three Bears from Goldilocks. What would you say? Why? Remember to use 'Fred' to help you sound out as you write and try not to forget about your finger spaces. Here is an example:
N.B. As in the example, phonetically correct/plausible spellings are fine, and you may wish to use the sound mats to prompt your child to look for the sound as they are writing. These can be found here: https://www.wellow.hants.sch.uk/set-1-2-sounds/
Shared write from Google Meet. Great work Team 😀
