Phonics
As we would in school, we shall now begin to recap the Set 2 Sounds, gaining more confidence with spotting, sounding, blending and writing with them. Each week, we will spend time looking at one of our sounds again.
Today, get a piece of paper (or your Remote Learning Book) and a pencil. Can you use 'Fred' to write down words with our sound (ee)? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qx_k1k9JbdI

Spellings - Red Words
We have now reached the end of our Red Words.
This week, use the PowerPoint, to continue to recognise the Set 1 Red Words we learned in January. Use the PowerPoint everyday and see if you can get quicker at recognising these words by sight. You may even like to make your own set of Red Word cards!

Virtual Meet
Join us on Google Meet at 1.30pm. Today, we are going to think about writing a short sentence to describe what is happening in the following picture.
As a reminder:
1. Please make sure your child is in a shared living space, not their bedroom.
2. They will need to be dressed ready for learning.
3. Please ask them not to film or take pictures of the screen.
4. Please turn microphone off and camera on, the teacher will ask children to turn their microphones on when appropriate.
5. We ask a parent to be present with your child at the start of the call.
Other
Today, I would like you write a short sentence to describe points during the story. An example is below. You may choose to use a different part of the story to write about, use your Story Map to help.
N.B. As in the example, phonetically correct/plausible spellings are fine, and you may wish to use the sound mats to prompt your child to look for the sound as they are writing. These can be found here: https://www.wellow.hants.sch.uk/set-1-2-sounds/
