Wellow School Association

We have a very active Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A) called the Wellow School Association (W.S.A) which raises thousands of pounds each year to buy equipment and resources to enhance our children’s education.

 But it is much, much more than just fundraising! The W.S.A creates closer links between home and school, and brings staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school. And it’s fun!

 All parents and members of the school community can get involved if they want to, even if they only have a small amount of time available.  Not all events are run purely as fundraisers. For example, firework night is run with the aim of providing the children and  their families and  friends with enjoyment and to develop a community spirit.

If you would like to join the WSA or be a ‘helper’ at our events please contact any of the committee members.

 If you would like to contact a member of the WSA please email them on wellowsa@gmail.com.

What events do the WSA put on?

There are a whole host of different events put on for the children, the parents and together as a whole family;

  • School Discos
  • Summer Fair
  • Mothers Day and Fathers Day sales
  • Annual Fireworks Display

At committee meetings we plan what events we want to run, who can organise them, who will help, and how we will spend the money that has been raised.

Money well spent

It’s a fantastic range of things the WSA fund; here are just a few that the WSA has paid for from the money raised in the past few years:

 Set of 30 ipads

 Interactive Flatboard Panels in each classroom

 Multi Use Games Area in playground

Log Climber and artificial grass

Picnic benches
